Successful Assessments & Special Populations: This class is designed to help the Certified LypossageŽ Practitioner, or Lypotherapist, understand an important component of their market: menopausal and post-menopausal women. It will also cover structure and pathologies concentric to the LypossageŽ Modality, as well as address which clients are suited to receive the LypossageŽ Massage Treatments. The class will be taught using Power Point presentation, handouts, and a recommended text. By understanding the special population LypossageŽ was designed for, the massage practitioner will have the right intention, which will facilitate better results in body contouring and cellulite reduction. Prerequisite: Before or after LypossageŽ Zone 1, 2 & 3 Training Instructor/s: Charles W. Wiltsie III, LMT (or qualified surrogate) Date/s: Schedule is ongoing- call for more information Time: 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM CE Hours: 6 Cost: $195.00 Materials: Included
Myofascial Massage Theory: This class is an outgrowth of LypossageŽ. It was discovered that massage therapists who practiced LypossageŽ and had an extensive knowledge of Myofascial Massage Techniques were getting better results with their clients. But rather than teach a specific Myofascial modality, this class is meant to increase knowledge of structure through increased knowledge of Myofascial Massage. Therapists who have advanced knowledge of the Lymphatic System and Myofascial Massage Theory are better therapists. The class will be taught using a text book, handouts, and hands-on opportunities.
Lymphatic Drainage Theory: This class is also an outgrowth of LypossageŽ. It was discovered that massage therapists who practiced LypossageŽ and had an extensive knowledge of the Lymphatic System were getting better results with their LypossageŽ clients. But rather than teach a specific modality, as there are so many, this class is meant to increase knowledge of the Lymphatic System. This understanding allows the massage therapist to use proper intention when performing the LypossageŽ Treatments. The method of Lymphatic Massage used in LypossageŽ is the Wiltsie Method. This method is neither inferior nor superior to any other methods. Conversely, other methods of Lymphatic Massage are neither inferior nor superior. To put it simply, people who have a knowledge of the Lymphatic System perform at a higher level during their LypossageŽ series. Because, as the name implies, a unique form of Lymph Massage is used to accomplish the desired client result. Additionally, the research that lead to LypossageŽ was based on Complex Physical Therapy for Lymphoedema and Myofascial Massage. This class will be taught using a text book, demonstration, and hands-on opportunities.
